SCHOLARS SHOW

What's Scholars Show?

The Scholars Show is your time to shine or just be funny, weird, or wild. You’ll step on stage and show off anything that counts as a talent or even an untalent. Singing, dancing, balancing an alpaca on your head, or throwing down a rock-paper-scissors match with a WSC staffer, it’s all fair game. By the end, the audience will be clapping, hyped, and vibin' with whatever you bring to the stage. This guide’s here to drop tips so you can step up, perform smooth, and show your skills with confidence.

Owning the Show

  • The best performances hit when you’re hyped about what you’re doing. Singing, dancing, instruments, or something wild, choose what makes you happy. When you’re enjoying it, the crowd feels it too.

  • Rehearse to get confident, but don’t aim for perfection. Even pros mess up. Keep going, recover smooth, and remember: the audience is there to cheer, not judge.

  • Complicated acts aren’t always better. Stick to your comfort zone if you’re nervous. A clean performance will hit harder than a messy one.

  • Got music, mics, or instruments? Test ’em before you go live. If something goes sideways, stay calm and improvise, the audience will respect you for it.

  • This ain’t a competition, it’s a celebration. Smile, be confident, and let your energy shine. The more you enjoy yourself, the more the crowd vibes with you.

  • Cheer for other performers, clap loud, hype everyone up. Scholars Show is about flexing talent and community.

  • Stage time flies. First performance or fiftieth, soak it in, have fun, and ride the energy. You’ll leave with praise and bragging rights for days.
